The Learning Centre provides a supportive environment for newcomers to develop essential skills through language classes and digital literacy training workshops. By creating a welcoming and inclusive learning environment, we empower individuals to build confidence, develop transferable skills, and actively participate in their personal, academic, and professional growth. All of our courses are free and open to all newcomers.

In 2025, we launched our Digital Literacy Workshop to respond to a growing need among newcomers navigating Canada’s complex systems. It teaches beneficiaries how to navigate digital platforms and builds their digital skills.
Our language courses began before 2023, at a time when francization programs were not yet available to refugee claimants. We continue to offer these courses to help newcomers navigate long wait times for official programs and to accelerate their settlement process.
Wednesdays: 6:30 - 8:00PM
This weekly workshop teaches you how to type faster, navigate your browser, avoid online scams, write professional emails, use your calendar and more.
