The Learning Centre provides a supportive environment for newcomers to develop essential skills through language classes and digital literacy training workshops. By creating a welcoming and inclusive learning environment, we empower individuals to build confidence, develop transferable skills, and actively participate in their personal, academic, and professional growth. All of our courses are free and open to all newcomers.

In 2025, we launched our Computer Classes to respond to a growing need among newcomers navigating Canada’s complex systems. It teaches beneficiaries how to navigate digital platforms and builds their digital skills.
Our language classes began before 2023, at a time when francization programs were not yet available to refugee claimants. We continue to offer these classes to help newcomers navigate long wait times for official programs and to accelerate their settlement process.

The beginner classes will help you acquire the basic skills you need to feel comfortable using a computer and learn best practices for using the internet.

Our classes are back, French sessions soon.
These classes will teach you how to create and edit documents and Excel spreadsheets, make presentations, and use Google Workspace with confidence. At the end of these ten weeks, you will receive a Coursera Career Certificate.

All of our classes are free of charge. We only require a deposit which will be refunded as long as you do not miss more than three classes (without a valid reason).
Registration will CLOSE AUTOMATICALLY when places allowed in the class fill up.
A Certificate of Participation can be provided upon request after you complete the classes.
French is one of the most important skills that you must learn when you arrive to Quebec and we offer
our French classes and conversation circles in order to help you do so.

Are you a refugee or a newly arrived immigrant with a basic knowledge of French? Would you like to improve your language skills and gain confidence speaking with others? Conversation Circles offer a friendly environment to speak French in small groups.
