Steps for getting a lawyer who accepts legal aid:
1. Contact lawyers from the list below (by email, by phone or in person).
2. Meet a lawyer and tell them you need legal aid for your refugee claim.
3. The lawyer will book an appointment for you at the legal aid office.
4. Go to the legal aid office for your appointment. They will check if you qualify for legal aid (for example, if you receive welfare).
5. If you qualify, the legal aid office will let the lawyer know.
6. Meet with the lawyer again, and now you will not have to pay. This way, you can get a lawyer faster than if you go to legal aid first and wait for them to assign someone to you.
