Portal Workshop

This workshop offers support to individuals who need assistance creating and managing their IRCC Portal account and completing their refugee claim application.

During the workshop, we can help with:

  • Create your IRCC Portal account (QR forms)
  • Finish and submit your refugee claim in the portal

Note: We do not provide services related to housing search or accommodation, or legal representation during these workshops.

EVERY TUESDAY at 2 pm

Orientation Workshop

This workshop offers guidance and support for individuals who need assistance accessing essential government and settlement services upon arrival in Quebec.

During the workshop, we can help with:

  • Initial application for last-resort financial assistance (social assistance)
  • Exchange of foreign driver's licenses
  • Registration for government French courses (francisation) and follow-up with MIFI
  • Application for housing allowance
  • Registration for school (primary and secondary)
  • Registration to daycare

Our counselors will guide you through the application and registration processes, answer your questions, and help ensure that all required documents are completed correctly.

Accessing Healthcare Workshop

This workshop offers support to individuals who need assistance navigating healthcare-related administrative processes and accessing essential health coverage services in Quebec.

During the workshop, we can help with:

  • Applying for your RAMQ (Quebec Health Insurance)
  • Applying for RAMQ for your newborn
  • Applying for your CSQ (Quebec Selection Certificate)
  • Applying for an extension of your IFHP (Temporary Residence Permit)
  • Renewing your RAMQ

Our counselors will guide you through the application process, help you complete the required forms, and answer any questions related to your healthcare coverage and eligibility.

  • Navigating everyday financial decisions

This workshop offers personalized support through a one-on-one consultation with a professional career advisor to help you navigate your career journey in Quebec.

During the consultation, we can help with:

  • Exploring career options and opportunities in the Quebec job market
  • Identifying your skills, strengths, and transferable experience
  • Developing effective job search strategies
  • Learning about relevant training, certification, and educational opportunities
  • Understanding the local labour market and employment requirements
  • Connecting with employment resources and support services

Our career advisor will provide individualized guidance tailored to your goals, experience, and needs, helping you take the next steps toward your employment objectives.

Housing Consultation

This workshop offers personalized support for individuals who have questions or concerns related to their housing situation and would like guidance on available resources and options.

During the consultation, we can help with:

  • Understanding your housing rights and responsibilities
  • Exploring housing options and available resources
  • Addressing questions related to leases and tenancy
  • Accessing information about housing assistance programs
  • Navigating housing-related challenges and concerns
  • Identifying community resources that may support your situation

Our housing counselors will provide information, guidance, and referrals to help you better understand your options and address your housing concerns independently.
These consultations are offered in person and are available in French, English, and Spanish.

Are you a newcomer to Canada and have questions about accessing healthcare? Join us for our information session on the Interim Federal Health Program (IFHP).

During the session, we can help with:

  • What is the IFHP?
  • Who is eligible?
  • What services and care are covered?

Participants who attend the complete session also receive free hygiene kits. We look forward to seeing you there and supporting your health and wellbeing!
